2024 Governing Council

Annual General Meeting

Wednesday 3rd April 2024

6:30PM – Staffroom – enter via front office

Hello to all Woodend Parents & Carers, we hope that 2024 is off to a good start for your family.

You are invited to attend the 2024 Woodend Primary School Annual General Meeting.

The AGM is an opportunity to learn more about the work being done here at Woodend Primary School: both current initiatives and achievements, as well as future goals. It is a great opportunity to ask questions that you may have about the school.

You may choose to become a Governing Council member, in which case you do have that opportunity at the AGM if you wish. The Student Representative Council will present information about the work that they are doing, which is only available at the AGM.

We would also like to invite you and encourage you to join a School Committee. We believe that the strength of a school is determined by the strength of the parent community behind it, and that is absolutely true of Woodend. Our School Committees are responsible for so much of what happens around the school and our Parent Volunteers are so very appreciated.

Read on to learn a bit about each of the committees…

Parent Network Committee

The Parent Network is responsible for supporting our school, supporting parents and carers, and building a strong WPS community. Some of our current initiatives include: school wide fundraising, special day gift stalls, community events, helpful parent workshops, and staff recognition for world teacher’s day and SSO day. We would love your new ideas for community building and supporting both the school and it’s families.

Parent Network meets on the last Friday of the month in the school staffroom.
