Over Terms 2 and 3, our Garden Custodians have used some of their lunch times to build scarecrows for this year’s Royal Adelaide Show competition.
The students discussed, voted on, designed and made two Storybook themed scarecrows – Pinocchio and Mrs. Twit, and one made from recycled materials too. There was a real team effort by the students during the construction and decoration processes. They shared responsibilities and roles resulting in these creative entries.
The scarecrows will be on display in the Goyder Pavilion throughout the Show if you would like to go and see them or they will remain in our school Garden after the Show, protecting our crops.
We also have some entries in the School Kitchen/Garden competition, created by some of the Senior students using produce from the Garden.
Please wish us luck!
