Our children and young people are using the internet more than ever before to socialise, learn and play. The internet is a great tool, however it does come with risks.

The eSafety Commissioner promotes online safety education and has a variety of strategies in place to help Australians to have safer, more positive experiences online. The commissioner also facilitates a complaints process for reporting serious cyber bullying and illegal or offensive online content.

The parent section of the eSafety website provides the latest information and resources to help you manage online safety issues for yourself and your children, including free webinars covering a range of topics

These live webinars explore the latest research and are a great way to learn how you can help your child develop the skills to be safer online.

All sessions are delivered by eSafety expert educators and each topic has an associated parent guide. Current topics covered in the webinars are:

  • Helping kids thrive online
  • eSafety’s parent guide to online gaming
  • My house, my rules
  • eSafety’s parent guide to popular apps
  • Tech, teens and time online
