This year, all classrooms will have a class Facebook group. These pages have been created as a way to improve communication between school and home. Although each class will differ slightly, the idea is to use these groups to post reminders and updates about what we are doing and information about how you can be involved with your child’s learning. If you have questions or want to discuss things specific to your child, you will still need to communicate with their teacher by phone, email or in person.
These Facebook groups have proved very popular and we know that parents are very keen to get signed up. Some classes are set up already and others will follow soon. You can see the links to all classes by following the ‘Digital Classroom Spaces’ link at the top of the news blog.
At the beginning of the year, the priority for teachers is getting to know your children, so if your child’s class is not yet active in this space, check back again soon. We expect that all groups will be up and running within the next couple of weeks.
