Isaiah competed at the Pacific Games in Adelaide last week, representing South Australia in the high jump. He jumped a personal best in the competition of 1.61m and finished fourth in the country for 12 year old boys.

Isaiah learnt to high jump at school, he has no athletics background and had no professional coaching. Congratulations also to Matt Hehner, who taught Isaiah to jump during his PE lessons. Isaiah  has demonstrated many of the capabilities and dispositions that we seek to empower our students with at Woodend Primary School, including knowing how to learn and improve, understanding that effort matters and demonstrating strength of character. Well done Isaiah!
