This week students at Woodend Primary School have been learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in honour of Reconciliation Week. All students across the school have been involved in a range of learning experiences such as studying Indigenous artists, exploring Indigenous stories, creating artworks and investigating natural resources and their traditional uses. We have all been learning about the importance of Caring for Country and our local environment, for our generation and future generations. We are excited to share our learning with the local community with our display at Hallett Cove Shopping Centre. Please go and visit our display and enjoy the excellent work created by our students. The display will be running from Thursday until Sunday in front of Drakes Supermarket. We’d like to thank Hallett Cove R-12 School for lending us the display boards.
