Many our our students have expressed their concern for the communities that have been affected by the recent floods.

The students from Room 1, with the support of our SRC, are leading the collection of Shoe Boxes of Love as a way to show care to those who have been affected.

What are Shoe Boxes of Love?

Shoe Boxes of Love is a not-for-profit organisation established to provide love and hope to people affected by Australian disasters.

Through the collection and distribution of essential and luxury items to those in need, Shoe Boxes of Love provides a meaningful and affordable way for schools and community groups to contribute.

How can my family help?

While there is no requirement for families to donate, if you wish to help there are different ways you can get involved:

  1. Purchase and donate an individual item from the list of essentials below;
  2. Work together with another family or classmate to complete a Shoe Box of Love; or
  3. As a family, donate a completed Shoe Box of Love.

Where can we drop donations?

All donations can be placed in the box located next to the fish tank in the Front Office between now and the end of week 8, Friday the 25th of March.

What should we put in the box?

Shoe Boxes of Love provides some suggestions of what can be put in a box. All items must be new and boxes should be unsealed. Personalise your Shoe Box of Love by writing a note showing your support. Clearly label your box with the intended recipient’s age and gender (eg. Girl 3-5 years).
