We continued our Rose Ceremony tradition of celebrating the arrival of our new Reception students at the start of each year and farewelling our Year 6 students at the end of the year.  This is unique to our school as it links to the beginnings of Woodend Primary School. Our school was first built back in 1995 and a beautiful rose garden was created at the front of our school.

Over the years we have enjoyed watching the roses bloom and grow from tiny plants into mature rose bushes.

Last Friday 16/12/22 at our final assembly for the year, we officially farewelled our senior students members of Woodend Primary School Community … our Year 6 students from Rooms 17, 27, 28 and 29.

We wish our Year 6 students every success for their future at their respective high schools.

We thank Mrs Coster’s Year 5/6 class for helping to make the roses.

Here are some moments of the farewell Assembly which includes the Year 6 dance and the Rose Ceremony.
