It is soon time for us to officially welcome our new Reception students during our Rose Ceremony.  It is a tradition at Woodend that we welcome our youngest and farewell our oldest students with a handmade rose. This Rose Ceremony links back historically where our first rose garden was planted at the front of the school in 1995.  We watched the roses bloom and grow from tiny plants into mature rose bushes.  Similarly, we will enjoy watching our newest students “bloom and grow” throughout their years at Woodend.  They will receive a rose from one of our Year 6 students, the senior students in our school.

This ceremony will take place on Wednesday 14th February (Week 3) at 10am in the school gym.  You are most welcome to attend but you are unable to, we will send home video footage of the event via our Newsblog.
