It is now time to register for Basketball! 

We are excited to have this sport available again!  We thank you for your patience until we organised the change of fee paying structure set down by Basketball SA.  Please register and pay on QKR now ready for a Term 2 start so that your child can get allocated to a team. If you are able to support with coaching, this would be much appreciated.  Very little experience is necessary. Please contact the school or respond to this blog post and we will be in contact regarding coaching.

SPORTING OPPORTUNITIES AT WOODEND:

There are many opportunities for students to be involved with school sport here at Woodend. Take a look below:

Reception / Year 1 students can do Auskick in term 1 – Registration details will be out soon

Year 2 – 6 students can do the following sports. Basketball, Cricket, Soccer, AFL, Soccer, Netball.

TERM-BY-TERM OPPORTUNITIES:

Term 1

  • Basketball – Games played after school at Morphett Vale Stadium (various nights for each year level)
  • Cricket – Games played on Saturday mornings

Term 2 & 3

  • Soccer – Games played on Saturday mornings in an home and away fixture
  • AFL – Games played on Saturday mornings – location to be advised
  • Netball – Games played on Tuesday afternoons at SUNA
  • Basketball – Games played after school at Morphett Vale Stadium (various nights for each year level)
  • Pedal Prix – we have registered for interested Year 5/6 students to participate this year and there will be approximately three races to be held at: Victoria Park Racecourse, Adelaide and The Bend Motorsport Park, Tailem Bend.  They will all take place during the day, likely one Friday and two Saturdays. More accurate details to come

Term 4

  • Basketball – Games played after school at Morphett Vale Stadium (various nights for each year level)
  • Cricket – Games played on Saturday mornings. More information for each sport can be found on the school website. Each sport has a Facebook page set up for it that you can join to get further information.

Please join the Facebook pages for our various sports that are on offer. Registrations and payment needs to be made through QKR All sports will only go ahead if there are enough numbers and coaches.
