Did you know that when Woodend Primary School was first built back in 1995, we planted a beautiful Rose Garden out the front of our school?
Over the years we have enjoyed watching the roses bloom and grow from tiny plants into mature rose bushes. Although building works have replaced the garden, we continue our long standing tradition.
On Wednesday 12th February at 10am, we officially welcome our newest members of Woodend Primary School Community … our Reception students from Rooms 17, 18 and 23.
We wish these new students who are just 4 and 5 years of age, every success in their future journey of learning at Woodend.
As a special welcome for the Receptions, they will each be presented with a rose by our eldest members of Woodend, the Year 6 students. We hope that the Reception children continue to bloom and grow just like our beautiful roses in the Rose Garden.
We thank Ms Coster and her class for making the roses.
Parents/caregivers are welcome to join us but please do not feel you have to be present at this ceremony as it will be video taped and made available to you on the day.
