Being Safe At School Crossings

The above link will take you to a YouTube video that SAPOL initiated in their quest for safe school crossings. It is short and easy to watch but the message itself is extremely important.

We value the care and attention that drivers take when driving around our school either at drop-off in the morning or pick up in the afternoon.

I would urge everyone to resist the desire to make a quick U-turn over the white line adjacent to the kiss and drop area, which is not only illegal but is also highly dangerous and does not do anything for the safety of students.

While it is legal to cross the road outside of the 20 metre limit either side of the crossing, I would encourage you to be good role models and use the crossing itself. Children watch adults and tend to copy their good behaviours.
