We are thrilled to share the remarkable success of our recent Festival of Music choir performance! Our talented senior choir students captivated the audience last Saturday with their beautiful voices and impeccable skills, showcasing their musical abilities, dedication, and discipline. Performing in rows 2 and 3, their smiles beamed out into the audience for all to enjoy.
From the very first note, it was clear how much time and effort they had invested into perfecting their songs. Their harmonies were flawless, and the emotion behind each performance touched the hearts of everyone present. Smiles lit up their faces for the 90-minute performance and they grooved along to their various songs. The students demonstrated exceptional focus and teamwork, working together seamlessly with several other school choirs to create a powerful musical experience.
We were also incredibly proud of their outstanding behaviour on and off the stage. They represented our school so well, showing respect to their peers, teachers, and audience members, and setting a wonderful example of professionalism and poise.
On Tuesday evening Joshua and Eve also performed in solo roles. Joshua was a choreography leader for this choir performance, showing excellent stage presence and a fantastic ability to keep the choir on point and in time with outstanding energy. Eve delivered a phenomenal solo performance in the song ‘Proud’ despite being under the weather. Her angelic voice captivated the audience as she opened the song.
Ethan has been wowing audiences as part of the rhythm section – The Rhythmic Rumblers, throughout the festival. He drummed his heart out during the opening number and helped to bring the theatre to life. His smile and energy helped to bring Beautiful creatures to life whether performing on stage, in the aisles or up in the boxes in the audience.
Bella performed with the South Australian Public Primary Schools choir as a special guest artist act on Thursday night. She helped give a remarkable performance of ‘You Can’t Stop The Beat’ that delighted the audience.
These performances were a testament to their hard work, the guidance of our incredible choir director, Regi, and the support from families and friends. We look forward to many more moments of musical magic in the future!
We would also like to acknowledge past students Indi Hoffman and Alexis Cox for their outstanding performances throughout the Festival. Indi was a member of the Seaview Orchestra and Alexis had a starring vocal and dancing role in the Underdale Troupe. Well done to them both.
