Date: Wednesday 8 March 2023
Social Hour: 6pm
Presentation: 7 – 8:30 pm.
Location: WPS Gym
Join us for what is sure to be a fantastic presentation from Mark Le Messurier – a teacher, counsellor, author and public speaker. Mark works in private practice as a mentor to children and adolescents, and as a coach to parents and educators.
Mark will be presenting on: THE INTRIGUING ‘ART’ of HANDLING TRICKY BEHAVIOURS IN CHILDREN AND TEENS
This workshop is practical and comes directly from Mark’s 16th and latest book – ‘Guiding Kids through the Tough Moments: Techniques to Build a Space Where Children Can Thrive’ (2023). It introduces the front-line skills to gradually get the behaviours you want. Mark deliberately uses the word ART because it captures a style that has principles, but the performance is remarkably human – sensitive, intuitive, adaptable, impromptu, even using your own quirkiness.
This presentation is free to parents and carers and is open to anyone in our community to attend; feel free to bring a friend or family member along. No Bookings required.
Please join us from 6pm for a community social hour – refreshments provided. The presentation starts at 7pm and goes for 90 minutes.
please note: you are welcome to bring your children if you need to in order to attend but please be mindful that this is a 90 minute presentation which may be a long period for children to entertain themselves; we won’t have children’s activities or minding available.
