Last night and today, we held our annual STEAM Week Expo.  For the first time since COVID restrictions, we have been able to enjoy this event again as a whole community.  It was so pleasing to see our community together again and enjoy engaging in sharing learning face-to-face.  The gym was buzzing with people, conversations, interactions and new learning!

Member for Black, David Speirs, was very impressed with our Expo and commended us on our STEAM learning focus.  Our little people at Woodend Children’s Centre were very stimulated by all the experiences and activities on show especially being taught about bees, pollination and honey.

We thank you for engaging in STEAM Week so that your child develops a greater understanding of all things scientific, technological, engineering, artistic and/or mathematical.  We thank you for volunteering to do a parent talk, to engage in the “repurposing” family challenge, to support your child with any STEAM-related task from school, attending the Expo with your child and/or having conversations with your child about their STEAM learning.

Although the celebration of STEAM Week ends today, we continue our learning about STEAM within our classrooms and in our daily lives.
