Over sixty families participated in our recent NAB AFL Auskick program held at our Woodend School oval.  This program has been operating for many years and every year, we see our young children learning our Aussie rules skills and having fun!  There was no pre-requisite for participating and over the past six sessions, each child had the opportunity to learn to kick, handpass and/or mark a football. They also learnt to mix with other children, listen, take turns, share and build their self confidence in a safe and inclusive environment.

The NAB AFL Auskick program in schools ceases for 2022 and it now becomes the responsibility of each school to run their own football program.  Having witnessed the enjoyment of those children and their parents/grandparents who joined in, we would like to ask for your help to continue the program in 2023.  The program could be modified according to time, resources and activities offered.  If there were several parents/grandparents who were prepared to work with staff to organise the program, we would love to see the program continue in 2023. If you are able to offer your help, please contact Kerri in the front office, the PE teacher, Mr Hehner or Mrs Luke.
