Tomorrow morning (Wednesday), all students will resume learning for 2022. Reception and year 1 students will begin the year at school in their classes with their classroom teacher. Year 2-6 students will begin the year with remote learning. Thank you to families who have connected with Seesaw and collected home learning packs if required.
Students attending school will enter via Bathbank Ct, Edward Beck Drive or Franklin Court (oval). Students at school are required to wear school uniform (including school hat). There will be no students supervising school crossings, however teachers will be on duty at the Kiss and Go and Edward Beck school crossing. Reception and Year 1 parents are permitted to come on to school grounds for drop off and pick up for this week only to help settle these students in to their new environments.
Students of essential workers in years 2-6 are to farewell parents outside of the school and walk to their classroom independently to meet their teacher. They will remain in their room for the roll only. They will be learning together with other students from their year level during the day in a centralised area, not in class groups. They will be supervised to access remote learning in the same way students at home will be accessing their learning.
Students in year 3-6 who need to be at school are reminded to bring their own device if they have one.
A limited canteen menu is available on Qkr for lunches only. There will be no over the counter sales until further notice.
Essential workers, please arrange an afternoon meeting point with your child outside of the school gates.

Will the Young Street gate open soon? With more parents waiting for kids at Edward Beck & Bathbank Crs entrance, physical distancing is harder than it has been. It’s causing more traffic congestion in both of these areas.
Seems a bit backwards closing a gate and getting more people to gather in the 2 areas, instead if spreading out.

Hi Haylie, at this stage it is intended to open Young Street gate when all students have returned to school which should be on 14 February. That side of the school is closed at present as there is no access for parents through buildings, and there are now only three classes in the building, and staff who would normally be there are on duty in other areas of the school. I’m glad to see that parents are choosing to park there and walk around to the other gates to enter the school. I noticed that a number of parents are now waiting for older children to come to them, compared to the first day which was quite busy.
