What an exciting time for our school!  On Thursday we launched our first ever Woodend Primary School Virtual Art Gallery, affectionately named “The WAG” – Woodend Art Gallery. The official launch took place in our gym at the STEAM Expo by our Chair of Governing Council, Karen Gunton and teacher, Cate Ellis.

This art gallery showcases student’s artwork from a range of year levels and classes. It has been a result of the ingenious work of two people:  Cate Ellis, our Visual Arts and Design and Technology Teacher and our school’s Digital Technologies’ Technician, Dave Aparicio. In time, they aim to have a sample of art in the art gallery from every student in the school.

There is also a profile of our guest artist featured – Erica Seccombe. You can read her bio and see her amazing artwork that crosses the disciplines of Science and Art.

Please take the time to visit The WAG, which can be found on the home page of the school website or by clicking here.
