‘It takes a village to raise a child’ is an African proverb which means that it takes an entire community of different people interacting with children in order for children to experience and grow in a safe environment.

At Woodend staff and parents all work together as a team to provide high quality education for the children and young people in our school community.  SSO week provides an opportunity for us to celebrate and publicly thank our fabulous SSOs for the amazing work they do as part of the team to support our students, teachers and families. Our SSO’s work hard to provide a positive and supportive environment so our children can enjoy learning with their teachers.

On behalf of our community we would like to recognise amazing contributions of:

  • Angela, Jodie, Kerri –  Front Office and managing our finances
  • Dave – IT support
  • Sarah – Library Support
  • Ashleigh, Dana, Jenny, Kym, Rachel, Sharyn and  Sofie – Student Support
  • Amanda, Emily, Kate – Kitchen Garden
  • Ken – Grounds

Please feel free to pop in to say thank you to our SSOs during the week for their efforts to make our school great.
