Governing Council and staff have been taking the first steps to reviewing our Homework Policy. We invite you to read the Homework Policy.
You will see that it has been quiet a while since we created this policy, in consultation with many families. We believe it was a very good one. Some elements of that policy have fallen away over the years and it is now time to do some research to renew the policy. That is what staff and Governing Council have been doing.
We are therefore inviting families to read some Homework_Research before we engage in comments about homework. Governing Council is also keen to shape a fruitful discussion around Homework. Consequently questions are being formulated to shape the discussion which we hope will be informed by the research.

That was good for people to learn about. Since reading this I’ve learned something new and recommend that some more people read it. It could help people have a growth mind set because if I asked people if you are born smart or not some people would say your born smart. It could build up their confidence. For example maths, it could help people to think even if your not the best at maths, if you really put your mind to it you can do anything you want to achieve.😀

I’m glad you found that informative Talitha and that you put the effort into making your point. I’m presuming you have read the whole of the article, which is on an earlier post.
