Some entrepreneurial Year 6 students have embarked on Gymnastics workshops for students each Monday at lunch play. Under the guidance of Mr Zampogna, Ebony, Olivia, Sarah, Shae, and Maddi along with extra helpers, planned and organised consent forms, warm-ups, skill sessions and management of crowds to successfully conduct their first lunchtime workshop. There were many enthusiastic participants who had the opportunity to try: log rolls, back bends, cartwheels, handstands, splits and/or elbow stands. Congratulations to those Year 6 students!

Please apologise to Chloe. That was the list that I was given. I’m sure that Chloe did a terrific job. I enjoyed watching the gymnastics again today Olivia especially all those excited participants and many having a go at some moves that they have never tried before. There was careful coaching to help them.

I enjoyed how we had to plan the lesson was we had to write up all the letters then go to the classes to give them out we had to make a poster and go to the classes and talk about it then we had to estimate how many people we were going to have and then organise the warm up dance and the timetable and who was our partners.

Sounds interesting but maybe you could do sessions with the older kids too but well done girls for starting your own gymnast club for the youngsters, sounds like fun. The younger kids must be having fun because when my younger brother comes home he talks all about it and sometimes he does tricks too 🙂 Will you be doing a session with the older kids?
