State SAPSASA Netball Carnival
In week 5 our school had 4 Woodend year 6/7 girls represented in the Southern Valley netball trials to play netball at Etsa Park against other districts for a week. To be selected in this team we had to go to trails with other year 6/7 girls from all of the local schools.
Shea and Billie got selected in the division 1 team and Chloe and Briarne were selected in the division 2 team. Both of our teams did very well all week and the division 1 team were undefeated and won the title.
Our division two team won 8 out of 9 games and unfortunately lost their last game against Barossa and Light to finish second in their division. Shea and Billie were lucky enough to be presented with SAPSASA medal for winning their division. We enjoyed the week so much and we were very lucky to have to opportunity to go and represent our district in a sport we love.
We would love to encourage more girls to go out next year and trial for the team as it is a great opportunity to test your skills against other great teams.
