We will be doing another Colour Run school-wide fundraiser in 2019.

UPDATE: our new date is Friday 22 November – please save the date!

(We apologise for any inconvenience in this date change – an unforseen conflict arose.)

All students and classes will be participating, and this year we have a plan to include parents who wish to do the Colour Run too! Stay tuned for more information as the event gets closer.

Last year, the Colour Run raised approximately $15K which will go towards new play spaces near the oval.

In total – through various fundraisers and allocations – we have raised approximately $110K for the playground development. Our goal is to raise $160K – so we are well on our way and another successful Colour Run will help us get closer to our goal!

We are still in the planning and consultation stage for the new playground with input from students, assistance from other schools, and discussion with project managers. We anticipate that building will begin next year. Note that the re-development of the pumpkin building (and removal of the ‘middle playground’) will likely occur later in 2021 or 2022, due to high school development having the priority at the moment.

The playground development at Woodend will likely include a combination of ‘built’ playground and natural play space, as well as the creation of a concrete walking/riding path – this will extend from the new access and path that we are working with Marion Council to create on the west side of the school and make it easier and safer for prams, scooters, and bikes to arrive at school.

Thank you Woodend Students, Families, Staff, and Volunteers for your support of our school-wide fundraiser. We look forward to another fantastic Colour Run!
