Last Sunday 17th June, our Woodend “K-POW” Pedal Prix team competed in a race at Victoria Park Racecourse.  Despite the wind and rain, the team performed a personal best.  They improved their ranking by 3 places from last year!    It was also a real team bonding experience where the students encouraged other to improve.  Congratulations to Zico, Ashton, Riley, Lachlan, Liam and Zac on your outstanding efforts.

This year, we have teamed up with Seaview High School and we would like to thank Mr Joel Fitzgerald, the Seaview Pedal Prix Coordinator for supporting us with preparing the car.  We would also like to thank Zac and Liam’s Grandpa, Mr Andrew Beski, for his efforts in stripping back the car and giving it a cut and polish in readiness for the race.

Big thank you to the coordinator, Rachel Peppas, for her organisation as well as the group of parents and grandparents that helped make the day so successful for our students.  Well done!

The team’s next competition is a 24 hour race at Murray Bridge on Saturday 22 – Sunday 23rd September.  We wish “K-POW” team all the best for that race.
