Once again next year Woodend Primary School is hoping to compete in the Australian Human Powered Vehicles Super Series.   You may have heard of this series referred to as Pedal Prix.

We  have our own vehicle and  a great deal of experience in our school community. Our team has usually involved about 15 families each year.

It is now time to get the wheels rolling and start to pedal along a new team  for 2017.

As we have to soon nominate year 6 & 7 students for next year, we do need to know of  families who are interested,  to see whether we have enough  to compete in 2017.

For your child to participate he/she needs to be involved and complete an ongoing fitness program which we will prepare them for them for this fantastic and  demanding challenge. The 24 hour race in Murray Bridge is acknowledged as the biggest and best HPV race in the world. It attracts 200 teams made up of 3,200 riders and spectator numbers in the thousands.

As soon as possible we need to hear from those who might be involved in Pedal Prix 2017.  If you are interested in becoming a Pedal Prix family please contact the school office on 83226422.

There will be a parent meeting  early next year for families to provide more details of the involvement of families in this exciting venture.
