On Wednesday, 7 September Woodend Primary School competed in the annual Southern Valley District Athletics competition at Santos Stadium. 41 students ranging from year 4-7 competed in various events. We had great individual performances and an outstanding overall team performance. We finished the day on 168 points, which was the winning score. We have now won the title for 3 years in a row, which is a great achievement. Congratulations to all students involved and thanks to the parents and staff members for their support and assistance on the day. I am very proud to teach students who are willing to try their best and work very hard to gain overall team success.
9 students were able to win their events and therefore win a position to represent our Southern Valley District at the State Metropolitan Athletics Championships on Tuesday, 27September. Congratulations and good luck to these students.
