Many of you will cast your vote in our school gym on Saturday.
It important that we use community events to help students make connections and develop their understandings. With the federal election fast approaching many parent would’ve had conversations with their child about what is going on. It’s important that children, especially our Year 3-7 students, develop understandings of democracy, politics and the purpose of elections. To help freshen those family engagement discussions and explorations the Australian Electoral Commission has education resources available on their education website. The time is ideal for some worthwhile interactions … try to keep them positive and respectful about the people who strive to lead and govern.
